Starch Solution's Ground Rules for losing weight

  1. Choose most foods from the left of the Eat This List and limit foods from the right side of the list
  2. Eat until you are satisfied
  3. It is okay to graze
  4. Allow time for digestion
  5. Chew foods thoroughly
  6. Restrict variety


Eat

  • Eat whole grains and potatoes
  • Eat legumes
  • Make green and yellow vegetables 1/2 to 1/3 of your meal
  • Eat uncooked foods


Restrict

  • Restrict fresh fruit to no more than 2 servings a day
  • Avoid dried fruit, fruit puree, and fruit juice
  • Use simple sugar sparingly


Eliminate

  • Eliminate all animal foods
  • Eliminate all oils
  • Eliminate all high-fat plant foods (nuts, nut butter, seeds, seed butter, avocados, coconuts, and olives
  • Eliminate all flour products

If you want a "quick fix" short-term "drop weight quickly" plant then I suggest you follow a 75/25 plate and:

  1. Choose ONE starch to be eaten at every meal; breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  2. Add the same selections of green and yellow vegetables and fruits to the meal
  3. Restrict variety; you want a short-term diet of monotony.
